VOD and DVR Use is Increasing

New consumer research from Leichtman Research Group, Inc. (LRG) found that the number of Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and Video-on-Demand (VOD) users have significantly increased in the past two years. One in every five households now have a DVR up from one in 13 just two years ago. The dramatic increase is fueled by cable and satellite companies who now offer HD/DVR options. Though the DVR growth will continure to flurish LRG estimates that 95 percent of all TV viewing is still seen live.
