Packing Fragile Items
Pack your fragile items so they don't break during the move.
- Glassware and other fragile valuable items should be attended to with great care. Avoid at all costs packing fragile items loosely where they can shift easily. Wrap all fragile items in tissue paper, newspaper or bubble wrap, using tissue and newspaper to cushion items and prevent them from shifting and sliding.
- China and larger fragile items should be wrapped in paper and placed in a box lined with Styrofoam and bubble wrap and packed loosely to prevent them from rubbing together. Towels, old blankets and sheets are great materials for cushioning large valuables as well. The key is to load boxes with fragile items toward the front of the truck.
