Transporting Your Plants
Moving your plants to your new home does not have to be a hassle.
- If moving out of state, call your local U.S. Department of Agriculture to check on regulations, because some plants cannot cross state boarders.
- Make sure plants are in plastic pots to avoid breaking
- Prune large plants
- Check plants for insects and parasites
- Wrap your large plants with an old sheet or tissue paper to prevent branches from breaking
- Place the pot in a box, making sure it fits snugly at the bottom
- Punch air holes in the sides of the box and loosely fasten the lid so plants can breathe
- Unpack them as soon as you arrive
