Transporting Your Plants

Moving your plants to your new home does not have to be a hassle.

If moving out of state, call your local U.S. Department of Agriculture to check on regulations, because some plants cannot cross state boarders.
Make sure plants are in plastic pots to avoid breaking
Prune large plants
Check plants for insects and parasites
Wrap your large plants with an old sheet or tissue paper to prevent branches from breaking
Place the pot in a box, making sure it fits snugly at the bottom
Punch air holes in the sides of the box and loosely fasten the lid so plants can breathe
Unpack them as soon as you arrive
