What to Watch Out for with Bundle Plans
- Price - Depending on what exactly you need for your home, bundle prices can be all over the map. Are you looking for 2 services, like phone and Internet? Are you looking for all 3? Don't just look at one single provider to see what they are offering. Rather, browse several providers and see what the prices are for the different packages. That way, you know if one is charging more for the same services. In addition, be sure to check out the prices of the individual packages, to find out if the bundles are offered at a discounted rate. If not, it might be time to take your business elsewhere to see where you can save.
- Features - Some providers only show the most basic packages as part of their bundle deals. For TV packages, these might not include things like premium channels, or a DVR box. For Internet packages, the speeds might be lower than what you would like. With home phone, it may or may not include an unlimited long distance plan. Investigate each of the features of the bundle, and compare them with what you currently have to make sure you'll get what you want.
- Number of Packages - Different bundles are put together with a different number of packages. Most bundles come with either 2 or 3 services. For 2 services, you can find Internet and phone, Internet and TV, and TV and phone bundles. If you need all 3, there are many providers that offer TV, phone and Internet packages together. If ordering a bundle for you is about the convenience of ordering from one provider, check to make sure that one provider is in fact offering all of the services. Some bundles combine services from 2 different providers. If this is not an issue for you, then you can still order with confidence that you'll be getting great service for your money.
