XM Wins 'Best of What's New 2006' Awards
XM Satellite Radio recently announced that it is the winner of two prestigious awards from Popular Science magazine.
The Pioneer XM2go Inno, the first handheld player to offer MP3 music and live satellite radio on the go, was awarded the magazine's "Best of What's New 2006" Award in the Gadgets category. The XM Mini-Tuner, a portable cartridge that delivers XM to any compatible player, was honored in the Home Entertainment category. The XM Mini-Tuner is distributed by Audiovox.
The annual Best of What's New awards recognize breakthrough products and technologies that represent a significant leap forward in categories ranging from Auto Tech to Personal Health.
"One of the reasons that XM is the leader in satellite radio is that we consistently offer the most innovative products," said Blair Kutrow, senior vice president, product development, XM Satellite Radio. "The portable Inno offers the music fan the best of both worlds -- live XM Radio and MP3 music. With the XM Mini-Tuner, you can carry your XM subscription from one device to another. These awards are a testament to the talent and ingenuity of our product team and our manufacturing partners."
