WhiteFence Thanksgiving Traditions

One of the most gluttonous holidays of the calendar year has come and gone, ushering in tidings of good cheer and shopping sprees galore. One of the more unique things about Thanksgiving, besides the food, would have to be the different holiday traditions that people associate with it.
Every family or group seems to have their own way of enjoying the time together, from football to playing games of Risk, if you're my family. At WhiteFence, we celebrate Thanksgiving with a big pot luck lunch each year, where people contribute all kinds of dishes. Food comas follow shortly thereafter.
With those things in mind, I took the liberty of asking a few 'Fencers what their favorite holiday traditions were. Their answers ranged from pie to Oprah.
James, Optimization Analyst: Thanksgiving lite at my parents' on Thanksgiving evening and big family get together on Saturday.
Monica, Manager - Marketing Content: I look forward to the pumpkin pie my aunt makes for me every year!
Stephanie, Vice President - Customer Experience: Going to the Renaissance Fair.
Mike, Optimization Analyst: I like cake. Nom nom nom...
Anthony, Optimization Analyst: Deep fried anything. Not only do deep fried foods taste great but they’re also healthy. How does one fight the flu — by getting a flu vaccination (made with flu viruses). I’ve incorporated this philosophy with eating. I fight cholesterol by eating lots of cholesterol. If my logic is correct (and how could it be wrong) I should soon be healthy and fit like Oprah Winfrey (skinny Oprah that is).
While WhiteFence neither supports nor recommends Anthony's dieting plan, it sure makes for an entertaining approach to the holidays. I'm partial to Mike's answer, myself. What about you guys? What are your favorite Thanksgiving traditions? Tell us in the comments!
