Sprint Nextel has announced that it will name its local phone spin-off Embarq. Embarq will separate from Sprint in the early spring, with 7.4 million access lines in 18 states. David Hesse, the new company's CEO, says that Embarq will offer service bundles that include wireless service, but he has not confirmed if it will offer these services through Sprint's network.
