AT&T; and BellSouth merger will result in 10,000 job cuts

As I mentioned in a post yesterday, several BellSouth and AT&T workers are concerned about their jobs as the merger between the two companies looms. According to a statement made by AT&T, their fears seem to be well founded. AT&T expects to see 10,000 jobs cut as a result of the AT&T and BellSouth merger. But before you get too worried, this won't happen immediately. According to an article recently updated on MSNBC about the AT&T/BellSouth merger, representatives from AT&T say that most of the cuts will be spread over the next three years and will be a result of normal turnover.
