Have you been thinking about buying a new LCD television but are unsure how to evaluate your choices? The experts at ViewSonic have developed a few guidelines for you to follow to ensure you are making an informed purchase:
- Make sure the TV you are looking at fits the room that you would be buying it for. Just because the bigger LCD TV is pricier, that doesn't guarantee that it will look better in the room if the room is small.
- Check the TV's HD Integration. Unfortunately, "HD-ready" does not mean you can plug it in and watch HD programming on the television. You would actually have to buy an adapter before you could watch HD programming. It is better to buy an LCD television that says it is "HD-integrated."
- Make sure the LCD television has all the connections you will need to hook it up to all your other home entertainment equipment. Also, it is smart to do some research to see what you might want to buy in the near future so that you will be able to connect any new equipment to the television as well.
