DIRECTV has announced 14 more markets that it will offer HD local programming later this year. Once these markets are added, DIRECTV will have HD local programming in 50 major metropolitan markets.
The cities that will get DIRECTV HD local programming will be:

- Austin, Texas
- Memphis, Tenn.
- Albuquerque, N.M.
- Portland, Maine
- Grand Rapids, Mich.
- Portland, Ore.
- Green Bay, Wis.
- Providence, R.I.
- Greensboro, N.C.
- Reno, Nev.
- Las Vegas
- San Antonio
