VoIP security issue resurfaces

A recent article published in BusinessWeek,  Is Your VoIP Phone Vulnerable?, reexamines the issue of VoIP security. Author Sara Lacy warns "that attacks on Internet-based calling systems—though rare now—may be just around the corner." Dan Ingevaldson, director of technology strategy for ISS, gives a reason for this. "There's no regulator, no control, no one person to validate what's on your network, so there's the opportunity for abuse," he says in the article.
