Arthur J. Maxwell, Chief
Executive Officer and Director, Arthur Maxwell is Founder, President and Chairman of Affordable Interior Systems, Inc. one of the largest business furniture manufactures in the United States. The Massachusetts based company was founded in 1989, sold to a fortune 500 company in 1996 and reacquired in 1999. Affordable is the recipient of the 2003 SHINGO award, which is referred to as the Nobel Prize of manufacturing. Maxwell has remained active with the company through its 15 year history. Mr. Maxwell was formally, the managing General Partner of AIS Venture Fund LP a multifaceted investment vehicle. He holds positions with USOP REALTY GROUP, LLC, HARWICH ONE LLC, COMAX PARTNERS, AIS FUNDING LLC, and AIS EQUITY HOLDINGS, LLC. In 1998 Maxwell completed the successful sale of Sovereign Capital Corporation which focused on Real Estate Development and Mortgage backed securities. Maxwell has served on the Board of Directors of publicly traded US Technologies, an incubator of early stage technology ventures, as well as Kruger Brent, S. A., a multinational holding company headquartered in Luxembourg with Executive offices in Switzerland.
In 2004, Maxwell led the buy out of Pearl Street Capital Group, a new asset class focused on liquidity for the private equity space and leverage in the sub debt investment category.
He currently serves as an active advisor to a handful of early and medium stage enterprises. Maxwell attended Boston College from 1976-1979 where he majored in Political Science and Economics. He resides in Sudbury, MA, with his wife and three daughters.
James R. Rowan, Chief
Technology Officer, has simultaneously managed numerous
successful full life cycle Enterprise IT and E-Commerce projects
utilizing object oriented technology. He has extensive expertise
in the development and implementation of E-Commerce, EDI, ERP
and data warehousing strategies, as well as web servers, extranets,
VPN database services and e-mail systems. He was recognized as
Apple Computer Inc.’s Consulting Engineer of the year for 1998.
Dr. Rowan also served in senior IT management with PriceWaterhouseCoopers,
LLP and ECKA, Inc. following his tenure as Department Head of
the Management Information Systems Office of the United States
Marine Corps. As an E-Business, Webmaster and Middleware Architect,
Dr. Rowan is proficient in WebObjects, Web storefronts, Netscape
App Server, Oracle App Server, Oracle Internet Commerce Server,
MS Transaction Server, MS Site Server, Oracle WebDB, load balancing
systems, HTML, XML, digital video, RAS, SSL, FTP, cgi scripting,
biometrics, DES, IPsec and data encryption. His experience includes
the analysis, design and implementation of UNIX, Sun Solaris,
Novell, Linux and NT based servers and state-of-the-art networked
client/server, Internet and intranet systems. He retired with
the U.S. Marine Corps, having served as an aviator, tactical aviation
instructor and special weapons officer. He was recognized by the
Association of Naval Aviation as Aviator of the Year for the Atlantic
Fleet in 1984. He served as chief operating officer for the Navy
Operational Intelligence Center, Suitland, Maryland and was responsible
for 16 aircraft and 350 personnel while assigned to a carrier
based All-Weather Attack Squadron. He earned an ABD Ph.D. from
LaSalle University, an MBA/MIS from the University of Maryland
and a BS in Physics from the U.S. Naval Academy. Dr. Rowan has
Top Secret Codeword security clearance based upon a Lifestyle
Polygraph conducted by the U.S. Department of Defense. He is also
a competitive martial arts black belt.
James P. Moskosky, Chief
Operation Officer, was a shareholder in the law firm of
Cohen Berke Bernstein Brodie & Kondell, PA, Miami, Florida, where
he served as Co-Chairman of the E-Commerce & Internet Group and
the Corporate & Securities Department. He has represented public,
private and start-up companies in a broad range of business transactions,
including, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic
alliances, private and public offerings, software development
and licensing, financings, secured transactions and general contract
negotiations. He has substantial experience counseling Internet
and E-Commerce businesses, telecommunications companies, software
developers, information technology service providers and other
technology related companies in several industries. He received
a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law
and a BA in Economics and Political Science from Yale University.
Francisco J. Arbide, Executive
Vice President, has over 11 years experience working closely
within the residential and commercial real estate industries on
a broad range of transactions and development projects, including
the structure, finance, design, construction and unit sale/lease
up of multifamily residential complexes, planned residential communities,
high-rise condominiums, and commercial retail centers. As a shareholder
in the law firm of Carlton Fields, P.A., where he served on the
Real Estate and Finance practice groups, he successfully represented
and negotiated contracts with multifamily owners and managers,
large single-family residential developers, condominium developers
and managers, institutional lenders, title insurance companies,
brokers, private financiers, hotel and timeshare developers, contractors,
major tenants, and governmental authorities. Mr. Arbide has an
extensive working knowledge regarding the management of multifamily
residences and commercial office and retail centers, the development
and sale of planned single-family communities, the residential
and commercial brokerage industries, and the title insurance business.
He earned a JD from Duke University School of Law and a BBA in
Finance, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Miami.
