WhiteFence Names Daniel J. McManus as Chief Marketing Officer

Houston, TX — October 17, 2006—WhiteFence, the nation's leading online comparison marketplace for essential home services, has announced the addition of Daniel J. McManus as the company's chief marketing officer. Mr. McManus will oversee all marketing and branding initiatives for WhiteFence (www.whitefence.com).

A respected leader within the direct marketing industry, Mr. McManus brings over 17 years of marketing and branding experience to WhiteFence, having helped build three Fortune 1000 companies and leading two startup businesses. Prior to joining WhiteFence, he served as president and chief executive officer for Strictly Direct, Inc., a Portland-based marketing agency. Mr. McManus also spent ten years with Reader's Digest, eventually serving as the publisher's vice president of marketing and business development.

Prior to his CEO role at Strictly Direct, Inc., where he helped generate over $100 million in new business, Mr. McManus served as chief executive officer and president Evosus Inc., a business management software company, where he still serves on the company's board of directors. He also served as a marketing director for Cendant Corporation.

Mr. McManus earned his master's in business administration from New York University's Stern School of Business. He graduated from Pace University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in international marketing. He also remains as an active member in the Direct Marketing Association.
