Phone, TV and Internet Bundled Vs. Unbundled Service
Television, Internet and telephone service are all important utilities in American households. While it is common to pay for these services as a bundle from a telecommunications provider, there are still areas of limited availability where it is either not feasible or not possible to purchase bundled services. Before you bundle, look at the full spectrum of options available.
Who Provides Web TV Internet Service?
WebTV originated in 1996 as a service that allows subscribers to view the Internet through a TV set, using a set-top box and keyboard rather than a computer and monitor. The service is a low-cost alternative to a computer and allows web browsing and email. In 2001, WebTV became part of the MSN division of Microsoft. The most recent incarnation is MSN TV 2 Internet & Media Player. This equipment is not a computer, and no software is required.
