What Is a Wi-Fi Booster for a Laptop?

Laptop computers offer much of the same functionality as a desktop computer, with the added benefit of portability. A convenient feature of all modern laptops is a built-in wireless Internet antenna. This allows you to connect your laptop to the Internet without plugging it into a phone line or Ethernet cable. A Wi-Fi booster can be added to either your laptop or wireless router to increase the range at which your laptop receives a Wi-Fi signal.
