Qwest offers several phone options for customers, including home phone service plans and wireless phone service through Verizon Wireless. Home phone service through Qwest is available in four plans, from basic to unlimited. With Verizon Wireless service through Qwest, customers can bundle their wireless phone service with other Qwest services, such as Internet, for savings.
Basic and Home Phone
The least expensive home phone plans from Qwest are the Basic and Home Phone plans. The Basic plan offers unlimited local calling; the Home Phone plan also offers unlimited local calling, but customers can select as many as ten calling features, and that is why the Home Phone plan is more expensive than the Basic plan. Some of the features available with the Home Phone plan include caller ID, voice mail, call waiting, three-way calling and call rejection.
Plus and Unlimited Plans
The Home Phone Plus plan from Qwest has the same monthly fee as the Home Phone plan as of May 2011, but customers will also receive long distance calling for 5 cents per minute. The other benefits of the Plus plan are the same as the Home Phone plan, such as the ability for customers to select ten calling features of their choice. Qwest also offers an unlimited plan, Qwest Home Phone Unlimited, for a higher monthly fee than the other plans. With the Unlimited plan, customers receive unlimited local and nationwide long distance calling, as well as up to 10 phone features.
Features
Options for calling features from Qwest are numerous, and customers may select up to 10 features with the Home Phone, Plus and Unlimited plans. Offerings include call forwarding, call trade, call transfer, message notification, anonymous call reject and many more. Voicemail options are also available from Qwest, with voicemail easy access service or voicemail anywhere access options available.
Adding Wireless
Customers subscribing to a Qwest home phone plan as well as a Verizon Wireless plan through Qwest have the benefit of one number calling and voicemail. This means that if someone calls that number, both your home phone and wireless phone will ring. You can also access voicemail from both phones at the same number for convenience. These benefits are included Home Phone Plus and Home Phone Unlimited phone service plans, or they are available for an extra charge with the Basic or Home Phone plans.
