How to Record From a Comcast HD Cable Box

Comcast offers a number of services to its subscribers, including phone service and high-speed Internet access. However, it is best known for providing cable television service. Comcast is among a number of cable or satellite providers that offers HD cable boxes to their subscribers. As long as this cable box is a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) you can use it to record television shows, movies, sporting events and anything else that appears on your TV.

Record Future Shows

Step 1

Press the "Guide" button on your remote control.

Step 2

Press the arrows to navigate to the time and channel of television program, sporting event or movie you want to record.

Step 3

Press the "Record" button on the remote. The program will automatically record when it airs.

Record a Live Show

Step 1

Press the "Power" button to turn on your Comcast HD DVR.

Step 2

Use the "Channel" button to select the channel that is currently showing the show you want to record.

Step 3

Press the "Record" button.
