When you set up your AT&T; Internet service account online, the company will send you the router and setup kit. This kit allows you to set up and start using the AT&T; DSL Internet service without technical assistance. The main component in the setup process is the DSL router that is provided by AT&T.; This allows your computer to connect to the AT&T; Internet service as well as maintain your network integration.
Step 1
Connect the microfilter to your phone line by plugging it into the phone jack. Connect your existing phone to the filter's "Phone" jack and connect the DSL phone cable to the "DSL" jack. Connect the other end to your AT&T; router.
Step 2
Connect the AT&T; router to the power supply, then connect it to your computer with an Ethernet cable.
Step 3
Turn the device on, and open a Web browser on your computer. The configuration page will open automatically.
Step 4
Enter your AT&T; user details in the space provided, and set up security for the device. Select "Wireless" settings, then choose a wireless passphrase and other connection options.
Step 5
Click "Save" to complete setup of AT&T; Internet on your Windows XP computer.
