Verizon has branched out from its early days as solely a phone-service provider and currently offers a variety of telecommunications services globally. Among the various services it offers is high-speed Internet which you can sign up for even if you aren't one of their phone-service customers. Verizon offers several ways to pay your Internet bill, including a fast, convenient and environmentally-friendly paperless billing method.
Step 1
Contact Verizon at 800-Verizon (800-837-4966) or go online at Verizon.com to begin the ordering process.
Step 2
Choose your plan. To use Verizon Internet you must become one of their customers by signing up for an Internet plan. They offer DSL and fiber optics technology with various speed plans.
Step 3
Install the high speed Internet equipment. After you've signed up with Verizon Internet, you'll receive an installation kit in the mail if you opted for DSL. Connect the appropriate filters and routers to your computer according to the setup instructions included with your kit. If you've opted for fiber optics, you'll need to arrange an appointment with an installation technician through Verizon.
Step 4
Setup a paper-free billing account. If you want to use Verizon Internet without a bill, you can set up paper-free billing by clicking the "Sign up for Paper Free Billing" link at the Billing Center web page at Verizon.com. You can also arrange for paper-free billing by phone with a Verizon customer service representative.
