Sirius settles dispute

On Monday, Sirius announced they had settled a dispute with three major recording companies over their Sirius S50 portable music player. The S50 player allows consumers to record up to 50 hours of music from the Sirius service. The recording companies were worried that the S50 would cut into online music sales. Though the settlements were not made public, two of the companies had called for Sirius to pay them a set amount for each S50 portable music player Sirius sold.
