Verizon FiOS TV in Maryland

Verizon's FiOS TV is spreading across the nation. The telecommunications giant said on Wednesday that Verizon's FiOS TV is available to about 11,000 households in Maryland. Comcast is the cable provider in the area and has been fighting with Verizon since construction on Verizon's network last summer disrupted service for Comcast customers.
