As you know, using VoIP can save lots of money for people who make international calls. Mino Wireless sees the opportunity for the same money savings for cell phone users. They have begun a service that allows people to make VoIP calls using their cell phones. Mino Wireless requires their users to have a service plan from Cingular, T-Mobile or Nextel, a data plan and a phone that can run Java. With Mino Wireless, you can make international calls for 2.2 cents a minute to 40 countries. Since launching the company in January, they have gotten 20,000 users.
