WhiteFence, an internet marketing company focused on home connection services and one of the fastest growing companies in Houston, currently has an exciting opportunity for a Public Relations Manager with interactive experience. The Public Relations Manager will manage the company’s Public Relations Initiatives, help define the company’s public image and enhance brand awareness. The Public Relations Manager will collaborate and provide proactive direction to the senior leadership team and work directly with WhiteFence’s outside PR agency. The PR Manager will also work closely with internal subject matter experts to develop targeted programs designed to drive site traffic and meet business objectives. The Public Relations Manager must have experience with traditional and online media and be a confident member of the management team.
Responsibilities
· Direct strategic PR planning, manage budgets and impact profitability
· Develop and execute PR programs from conception to placement by researching and creating story angles, pitching ideas and cultivating media opportunities
· Prepare high impact media correspondence, speaking abstracts, presentations, measurement reports and other PR tools necessary to promote the company
· Generate media coverage and exposure through traditional and social media
· Manage and inspire outside agency to perform at optimal levels
· Work closely with the marketing team to ensure we are maximizing PR, SEO and Social Media efforts to drive business goals and financial objectives
· Keep Press Room and other materials up to date
· Create work processes and policies to efficiently implement PR program
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or public relations
- 3+ years proven successful Public Relations experience in consumer online technology
- Familiarity with home services preferred (Telephone, Internet, TV, Alarms, Electricity, Gas)
- Social Media experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage time and prioritize projects based on importance and urgency
- Good sense of humor
