WhiteFence has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, service-minded individual to join our fast-paced company as a Quality Assurance Lead. This role, reporting to the head of Enterprise Project Management, will require serious business analysis skills, an eye for detail, as well as a hands-on get-it-done drive to succeed.
We are looking for someone who loves finding and fixing problems, and loves working with talented developers and commercial leaders. The candidate must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and strong verbal and written communication.
Responsibilities
- Test multiple consumer-facing web sites and products, finding and tracking issues both individually as well as assigning tasks to business units for review
- Play an active role in requirements definition and functional design meetings
- Support end-to-end delivery of systems, whether it be providing business analysis and prioritization, to Quality Assurance, to release scheduling
- Work across the organization, from executive management to developers to remote team members to ensure alignment around delivery goals
- Provide creative input on design, usability, and other ways to improve our processes
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with technology or business concentration
- Software Quality Assurance experience
- Must have a people-centered attitude that can mesh well with team members across the organization from development to marketing to operations
- Hands-on software experience, including:
- Requirements management
- Business analysis
- Work planning
- Business Prioritization
- Software delivery
- Ability to learn and adapt at a rapid pace
- Enough familiarity to be conversant with web technologies, such as browsers, CSS, application servers, and databases
- Exceptional communication skills
- Maintain a high sense of urgency
Additional Desired Experience
- Basic development experience with tools such as PHP, Javascript, and SQL
- Experience with consumer-facing E-commerce websites and applications
- Usability and conversion optimization experience or training
- Familiarity with Agile software development project management
- Automated software testing tools such as Selinium
