The Comcast Triple Play package bundles together three services used in many homes -- cable television, Internet and voice telephone service. Subscribers of the Triple Play package can enjoy all of the features normally included with each of the individual services, but at a total cost measurably less than if these services were purchased separately.

Lower Cost

Perhaps the most obvious feature of the Comcast Triple Play package is lower cost than when purchasing the services separately. Consumers can usually save money when signing up for bundled services with utility companies and Comcast frequently offers limited-time promotions that stretch the savings even further. Some promotions may include minimum-term contracts, so it's wise to read all of the fine print when considering a special offer. The amount of the savings varies depending on which Triple Play package is selected.

Cable TV

Cable television service is one-third of the Comcast Triple Play package. Customers can choose the cable TV programming level that best suits their interests, from the basic standard-definition "Starter XF" package that includes more than 80 digital channels, up to the high-definition "HD Premier XF" package that includes more than 200 digital channels, including multiple premium channels and DVR service. Depending on the selected programming package, cable TV features can include all-digital channels, high-definition channels, 3D channels, DVR service, On Demand and premium channels.

High-Speed Internet

The Internet service included in the Comcast Triple Play package provides download speeds up to 20 Mbps in most areas when using Comcast's PowerBoost. Subscribers can have up to seven email accounts, each with 10 GB of storage. This Internet service also features Constant Guard at no additional cost, which includes the Norton Security Suite to help protect the computer from viruses, Secure Backup & Share to backup important files and Identity Guard to help protect customers from identity theft.

Home Phone Service

The third service included in Comcast's Triple Play is voice home telephone service. This digital voice service uses the same cable that brings television content and Internet into the home. Comcast Voice includes 12 popular calling features such as call waiting, caller ID and three-way calling. "Smart Voicemail" allows customers to access their voicemail from any computer or smartphone. Comcast Voice includes unlimited national calling in each of the Triple Play packages.
