Customers have the option of installing a cable modem themselves or having a professional do it for them. No phone line is required. The monthly service also comes with free computer security software and upload/download speeds of up to 12 Mbps.

WildBlue

WildBlue is a company that offers broadband high-speed Internet via satellite throughout Lakewood and the surrounding areas. In addition to a computer, two pieces of equipment are needed: a 26-inch satellite mini-dish and a modem, both of which are supplied by the company at the time of installation. No phone line is required. The cost is $49.95 per month and installation, and 24-hour customer support are free.
