Concern mounts that AT&T;/BellSouth merger will cut jobs

Though AT&T's merger with BellSouth has yet to be approved, several workers of both telephone providers are already concerned about their jobs. AT&T expects the merger to save the company $2 billion annually, which will likely result in part from job cuts caused by the combining of AT&T and BellSouth's work forces.
