Although speed is definitely good when it comes to choosing your Internet service, not everyone using the Internet needs 30Mbps downstream/5mbps upstream, which is the highest speed the Verizon FiOS service offers. Someone who uses the Internet for simply sending email and surfing the Internet doesn't need anything that fast. The consumer would end up paying a high price for a service he or she does not even make use of. So, before you opt for the highest speed possible, make sure that you need it. In many cases, the lowest or mid-level high speed Internet service offered will be enough speed for you and your family.
