WhiteFence, one of the fastest-growing companies in Houston, currently has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, service-minded individual to join our fast-paced company as a Web Application Architect with web programming and scripting skills to support and extend our existing web-applications and dynamic websites. The ideal candidate must be able to work within Unix and Linux environments, be a self-starter but also capable of working with teams. The candidate must also have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain web applications, prototypes, and modules
- Play an active role in requirements and design meetings
- Documentation of new and existing scripts and libraries
- Assist and support web design and marketing teams
- Work closely with application development and integration teams
- 2+ years of PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby or other server-side scripting languages
- 2+ years of Javascript, AJAX, CSS, XML and web services
- Ability to learn and adapt to emerging technologies at a rapid pace
- Ability to effectively interface with and influence personnel at all levels
- Exceptional communication (written and oral) skills
- Maintain a high sense of urgency
- Must have a flexible schedule being able to work extended hours as needed
- No travel required
