Do Internet Broadband Charges Appear on the Phone Bill?

by Daisy Peasblossom Fernchild, Demand Media

Whether Internet broadband charges appear on your phone bill depends on whether your broadband access is included in your phone contract. If your Internet service provider and your phone company are the same, chances are you will see both on your monthly bill. If your phone and Internet come from different companies, you will not.

Internet Service in Seneca, Missouri

Seneca is a small town in southwest Missouri, with a population of around 2,000 as of June 2011. The local telephone company, Seneca Telephone, provides service for two other small towns. They are affiliated with S-Go cable TV and Internet service. Customers who sign on for their telephone, cable TV and Internet service receive a small discount, and all of the services are listed on one bill.

Dish Network

Dish Network is the other Internet provider in the area. If you sign on with Dish Network instead of Seneca Telephone/S-Go, you will receive a separate bill for you Internet service.

AT&T;

While not available in some areas, AT&T; offers bundled services. Like Seneca Telephone Co., if the services are purchased as a "bundle", which specifies certain services for a pre-arranged price, you will receive one bill.

Verizon Mobile Broadband

Verizon is a little more complex. Verizon provides land lines in some areas, cellphone service and mobile broadband service. Billing format will depend upon the type and combination of services you have selected. If your local land line telephone service is not Verizon, you may have to pay two separate bills.
