How to Check Email With AT&T High Speed Internet

AT&T; offers U-verse high-speed Internet service and DSL high-speed Internet service. Both services provide you with as many as 11 email accounts, unlimited photo storage, nationwide dial-up access when you travel, and free Wi-Fi access at hot spots throughout the country. U-verse Internet offers faster speeds, with its top-end package featuring as many as 24 Mbps, compared to a maximum of 6 Mbps for the premium DSL Internet package.

Step 1

Visit the company's email website, ATT.net. Click "Mail" under the menu that reads "Categories."

Step 2

Click "Sign up" at the bottom of the page. On the next page, click "Sign Up Now."

Step 3

Select your member ID, which must be in alphanumeric form with at least 3 characters and no more than 18 characters. Click "Check Availability" to ensure that the ID you select has not already been chosen by another user. Enter a password of six to 24 characters with at least one number and one alpha character. Confirm your password.

Step 4

Provide your first and last name, contact email address, birth date for age verification, ZIP code and gender.

Step 5

Select a secret security question from the pull-down menu under "Security Question 1," and provide an answer of at least four characters. Select a second security question and provide an answer.

Step 6

Check the box under "Terms of Service." Type the code shown in a rectangular box and click "Continue."

Step 7

Click "Continue" to advance to the ATT.net homepage. Click "Mail" to sign in and check your email.

Tips & Warnings

  • Your ATT.net account uses Yahoo as its Internet Service Provider. If you already have a Yahoo! account, you can check your email with that account or use your ATT.net account.
