Quest, now known as CenturyLink, provides Internet, cable and wireless telephony services throughout the United States.

Qwest, which was acquired by CenturyLink in 2011 and now trades as CenturyLink, is the third largest telecommunications company in the United States, based on the number of access lines. The company offers Internet, cable TV and wireless telephony through Verizon Wireless. Internet services include dial up, cable and even fiber-optic connection in certain areas.

How to Add or Remove Phone Numbers to Your Account

You can add or remove numbers to your Quest/CenturyLink account through your online account profile. Log into your account profile at Quest.com. Select the "Manage Accounts" tab. You can add or remove numbers to your account by using the forms on this page.

How to Keep Your Current Phone Number

If your are moving to Quest from another service provider, you have the right to keep your current telephone number. This right is regulated by the United States Federal Communications Commission. You can receive further assistance on how to migrate your phone number by visiting Quest's "comeback" website -- see Resources section below -- and chatting online with the company's customer service desk.

How to Change Your Billing Address

To change your billing address you must talk directly to a customer service representative. You can contact a Quest customer service representative by calling 800-491-0118 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, as of June 2011. If you are calling from your Quest wireless phone you can call by dialing 611.

Can You Have Quest Internet Service without a Phone Line

Although Quest offers telecommunications packages that include telephone -- both VoIP and traditional -- cable TV and Internet, you can also get the Internet service as an individual service. Quest provides more information on this service on its Internet stand-alone page.

How to Disconnect Your Quest Service

There is no cost for disconnecting your Quest Internet, telephone or cable services. You will, however, need to pay any fees due before your cancellation date. If you are going on vacation, or will be away from home for an extended period, you can temporarily suspend your Quest services. To suspend your residential Quest service call 877-348-9004. Clients with a business account can call 800-603-6000, as of June 2011.
