DVR services are growing more and more important to cable customers, as a way to watch their shows and movies on their own schedule. Cablevision is one of the largest cable providers in the nation, serving New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and other states, creating a large base of customers who need digital video recorder services.
IO TV
IO TV is Cablevision's Digital Television package, offering more than 120 high-definition channels and more than total 475 channels, plus On Demand services. It includes the TAG game service, custom channel guides, integrated Caller ID, and Optimum Select, a service that allows advertisers to provide coupons and offers directly to customers.
DVR for iO
Although not part of the standard iO service, both regular and high-definition DVR services are available to Cablevision customers. The DVR for iO service and HD- DVR for iO service are available for a monthly fee of $10.95, in addition to the monthly fee for the digital cable box.

DVR for iO also comes with access to the Optimum Web DVR feature.
