Verizon High Speed Broadband Wireless USB Modems

The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE USB Modem 551L can provide faster 4G speeds where available, but is also compatible with the company's 3G network. The 551L can be used on computers running Windows Vista, XP, and 7, Mac OS version 10.4 or higher and even Linux OS. The modem's USB connector folds in and out for storage and transport. This modem has a four-color LED status indicator. The 551L is 3.46 inches high and 1.38 inches wide and weighs 1.23 ounces.

The Pantech 4G LTE USB Modem UML290 is also compatible with both Verizon's 4G network and its 3G network. This modem also has a fold-away USB connector. The Pantech is compatible with computers running Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, as well as Mac OS version 10.4 or higher. The Pantech also has an LED status indicator, but only in two colors. The Pantech USB modem is 3.5 inches high, 1.4 inches wide and weighs 1.8 ounces.

The LG 4G USB Modem VL600, like the other USB modems, is compatible with Verizon's 4G and 3G networks, as well as computers running Windows Vista, XP, and 7, and Mac OS version 10.4 or higher. The modem's USB connector is fixed, with a flip-up cover for storage and transport. The VL600 has a four-color LED status indicator, is 3.88 inches high, 1.48 inches wide and weighs 1.76 ounces.

Verizon also offers access to its wireless network for customers who sign up for FiOS home Internet service and higher-end in-home DSL service. These customers do not need to purchase a Verizon USB modem, but can connect to the network using their account information and any laptop, PDA or similar device compatible with Verizon's systems and equipped for Wi-Fi.
