In this role you will be responsible for extending our existing applications and to work on the next generation of the platform. This includes everything from participating in the requirements gathering process, to designing and building the final solutions.
Responsibilities
- Architecting new features and applications
- Writing Java code leveraging our frameworks
- Supporting internal users of the various web applications
- Documenting new and existing applications and features
- Full cycle application development, testing, and deployment
Requirements
- Four-year college degree in computer science, information systems or a related field
- Experience with database development, ER Modeling, transactions, SQL (Oracle)
- 1-3 years of java software development experience
- Ability to learn and adapt to emerging technologies at a rapid pace
- Ability to effectively interface with and influence personnel at all levels
- Exceptional communication (written and oral) skills
- Must have a flexible schedule being able to work extended hours as needed
Additional Desired Experience
- 2+ years of Javascript, AJAX, CSS, XML and web services
- 2+ years experience with Apple WebObjects/EOF or Tapestry/Cayenne
- Apache configuration, shell scripting, and basic UNIX systems
- CVS/Subversion, Eclipse, Java, XSL and SQL
- Open source web applications and technologies (forums, blogs, etc)
