With more than 23 million subscribers in North America, Netflix is the world's largest subscription and rental service for television shows and movies. While most new release movies are only available through renting the DVD from Netflix, you can view some shows and movies instantly on your laptop or desktop computer. With a high-speed DSL connection, you can stream movies and shows whenever and wherever you want in a matter of seconds.
Step 1
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the LAN port on your DSL modem and the other end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the back or sides of your computer. Plug the power cable on your modem to a wall outlet or power strip.
Step 2
Turn on your DSL modem and computer and wait for the flashing green light to appear next to the "Ethernet" icon. Once you see the light, the DSL modem as established a connection with your computer.
Step 3
Launch a web browser of your choice and go to the Netflix member sign-in page. Enter your email and password to access your personal Netflix account. You can click on the "Watch Instantly" tab and use your DSL connection to watch instant streaming movies and television shows.
