AT&T; supplies a UVerse "Residental Gateway" to work as your home's modem and wireless router. The UVerse comes with a pre-set WEP password that is your network's password. Without this password, people will not be able to connect to your home's network. Thankfully, you do not have to look far or hard for you WEP key. Give the key only to other family members living in your household for maximum Internet protection.
Step 1
Locate your Uverse router near the computer that it is connected to.
Step 2
View the white label on the side of the router.
Step 3
Copy the "Wireless Network Key," also your WEP key, passkey on paper or save it in a document on your computer for safe keeping.
