U-verse is an AT&T-generated; digital package that uses fiber-optic technology. The package includes digital television, high-speed Internet and digital home phone service. Features include the ability to play and record up to four shows simultaneously on one digital video recorder, along with the ability to watch over 160 high-definition channels on a television, mobile device or computer. The digital phone service includes caller ID displayed on your television. U-verse allows you to manage your voice mail not only from your home phone, but from any phone or computer.
Online Retrieval
Step 1
Navigate to the AT&T; (att.com) homepage.
Step 2
Click "AT&T; U-verse" from the drop-down menu under "Access Account" on the right. Enter your U-verse member ID and password into the spaces provided and click "Sign in."
Step 3
Hover your mouse pointer over the navigation bar's tab titled "Home Phone." Click the "U-verse Voice" option.
Step 4
Click the tab marked "Voicemail Accounts." Click "New Messages" with your mouse.
Step 5
Click the "Play" button to listen to your voice mail message. Delete the message by clicking the "Recycle Bin" button. To save your message to your computer, click the "Play" button and click "Save."
Phone Retrieval
Step 1
Dial "*98" from your home phone. Dial your home phone number if you're calling from another phone. Dial your access number if you want to check your voice mail without someone answering your home phone.
Step 2
Enter your personal identification number when prompted.
Step 3
Press "1" to listen to your first voice mail message. As the message is playing, you can press "1" to rewind the message to the beginning, "2" to pause the message, "3" to fast-forward, or "#" to skip the message entirely. Press "9" to save the message or "7" to delete the message.
