Access the Time Warner Website
Open up a new tab or window in your Internet browser and navigate to the Time Warner Cable website (see Resources). You will see various options and menus listed at the top of the page. To proceed to the application process, select the option for new customers to sign up. Alternatively, you can research the various Time Warner Cable services offered by visiting the "Support" section of the website.
Choose a Time Warner Service
Once you select the new user application process, you are required to enter your address information. Once you do so, the Time Warner Cable website will present you with a list of all the various options and package deals offered in your specific location. Select the desired service options to continue to the final application section. You must enter payment information even if there is no installation fee to apply for a service. You must also schedule an installation date for a Time Warner Cable technician to install your service.
Telephone Application
If you prefer to do business over the phone instead of the computer, call Time Warner Cable's customer order line at 1-866-863-4856. Follow the automated instructions and select the option to sign up as a new user. You will be transferred to a Time Warner Cable representative, who will list for you the available services in your area. Decide which services you wish to sign up for, and the Time Warner Cable representative will complete your application for you over the phone.
After You Apply
When you complete your application, you will schedule an installation date. Depending on which services you select, Time Warner Cable will either ship the necessary hardware to you, or the hardware will be brought by the technician. On the installation date, the Time Warner Cable technician will properly hook up all of the necessary hardware, then enable the desired Time Warner Cable services for your home. You can modify the services you receive by accessing your account through the Time Warner Cable website.
