AT&T;'s U-verse branded services are high-speed, digital communications and entertainment services offered through fiber-optic technology. U-verse services are designed to incorporate networking and thus to work throughout the home. U-verse digital television, like other U-verse services, isn't limited to a single television or room in your home.

Multiple Televisions

AT&T;'s U-verse service isn't confined to a single television. In fact, there's no limit on the number of televisions in a single customer home that can be serviced by a single U-verse contract as of 2011. Each U-verse subscription, however, can play only four channels at once, so if there are more than four televisions in the home, they can't all be used at once unless some are tuned to the same channel.

DVR Service

Every customer who purchases AT&T;'s U-verse digital television service receives a digital video recorder. DVRs can record multiple shows at once, currently up to four shows at a time. And U-verse DVRs interact with all the televisions in your home. Recorded content -- and live television -- can be played from any television in your home.

Computer Viewing

Because a U-verse DVR is wired into your home network and connected to the Internet, you can also view programs recorded on your U-verse DVRs from any computer connected to your home network or to the Internet. If you have a compatible portable device, you can also watch U-verse television programing from that device, if it's connected to your home network or the Internet.

Other U-verse Services

AT&T;'s U-verse line also extends to other services. You can purchase U-verse high-speed broadband Internet service or U-verse digital home telephone service. Naturally, AT&T; encourages you to purchase all three U-verse services and offers packages of bundled services including TV, Internet and phone services in various combinations.
