How to Connect a Wii to a Comcast DVR

by Chad Buleen, Demand Media

The Wii is a video game console developed by Nintendo that allows gamers to interact with the games they are playing based on the movements of their bodies. If you want to hook up your Wii gaming system to the same television in your home that also is hooked up to a DVR, you will need to hook the Wii up through the DVR in order to keep both devices working properly.

Step 1

Insert the thick side of the AV Multi Out plug into the AV Multi Out connector on the back of the Wii.

Step 2

Insert the red, yellow and white input plugs on the other side of the cord into the "Input" outlets of corresponding colors on the back of the DVR.

Step 3

Press the "Power" button on the Wii to turn it on. You may need to press the "Input" button on your remote control to select the correct input channel that displays the video game.
