What Is Comcast Digital Plus?

Comcast now offers digital television programming through its XFinity television packages. XFinity not only delivers television digitally, but also offers a range of other services. These services include On Demand access to both television programs and movies. These services also include online access to XFinity digital programming, so subscribers can access their programming anywhere they have a computer and an Internet connection.

Within XFinity, there are a number of different packages, which include various levels of programming. The entry-level package is called Comcast Digital Starter. The Digital Starter package includes approximately 80 television channels as well as a number of commercial-free music channels. It also includes HBO for a limited time after sign-up. Like all XFinity packages, Digital Starter comes with an on-screen guide, parental controls, and On Demand programming.

The second tier of Comcast's XFinity programming is Comcast Digital Preferred. This package builds on the Digital Starter, and includes all the television and music channels included in that package. In addition, Comcast Digital Preferred includes over 80 additional television channels. This includes expanded sports channel coverage, with specialty channels such as NFL Network, NHL Network, NBA TV and MLB Network. Comcast Digital Preferred also includes expanded On Demand offerings.

Comcast Digital Premier, like Comcast Digital Preferred, includes all of the programming offered in lower tiers. Digital Preferred also includes over 200 television channels. These channels include premium channels such as HBO, Cinemax, Starz and Showtime and enhance sports coverage, including offerings such as NFL Redzone. Digital Premier also offers expanded On Demand access.
