How to Get Faster Speed for Charter Downloads

by Dan Hatter, Demand Media

Charter has five tiers of Internet service: Lite, giving you 1Mbps download speed; Express, giving you 12Mbps download speed; Plus, giving you 18Mbps download speed; Max, giving you 25Mbps download speed, and Ultra60, giving you 60Mbps download speed. If the service tier you have now just isn't cutting it, you can upgrade to a faster download speed by calling Charter's customer service number.

Step 1

Visit the Charter Internet Overview Web page. Examine all the download and upload speeds Charter currently offers and write down the one you want.

Step 2

Call the Charter customer service number at 888-438-2427 and tell the automated voice system you want customer service.

Step 3

Tell the customer service representative that you would like to upgrade your Internet service to a faster speed. The representative will help you through the rest of the process.
