AT&T; has been around for over a century and has come a long way from its initial business in primitive phone communications. Today, AT&T; provides high-speed Internet services to residential and business customers. Though broadband Internet is quick and convenient, it sometimes suffers technical problems. You can try to resolve some of these problems yourself.
Connections
Make sure your connections are properly established between the modem, wall outlet, and computer. The Ethernet cable should run between the PC's Ethernet port and one of four Ethernet ports on the modem. Also make sure the modem is plugged into a socket. Check the indicator lights: the Internet light should be blinking green and the broadband service lights should both be solid green.
Wireless
If you're using a wireless router with your AT wood and plaster usually cannot.
Security
To prevent security issues with your high-speed Internet connection, do the following. Install the security suite that comes with your AT&T; Internet package. The suite includes Norton Anti-Virus and the AT&T; firewall. These programs let you surf free of viruses, Trojan horses, worms, and spyware. It also prevents annoying browser pop-ups.
