Most regions in the United States have one or more free dial-up Internet services. Some Internet service providers (ISP) offer free access to the Internet via a dialup connection. A few free dial-up services provide an email address at no charge. Free ISPs usually limit the total number hours that a free service subscriber can spend on the Internet each month. There is usually no limitation on how many times you can access a free email account and it doesn't usually count against the monthly limitation on usage. A free dial-up Internet connection is the perfect solution for people who rarely use the Internet or use it only for email.

NetZero

NetZero (netzero.com) offers a free dial-up Internet service that is faster than most. The connection is reliable with service nationwide. Any computer system with a landline phone connection and a modem can connect to the Internet through the NetZero network. Customers can download the NetZero software to their computer after dialing a toll-free access number. Locate access numbers by navigating to the NetZero website from a computer with Internet access. Juno (juno.com) offers 10 hours of free Internet access each month to everyone who wants a free dial-up connection. Toll-free Juno access numbers are available for most regions in the USA. The service is fast, reliable and supports multiple email addresses for a single account. Juno free Internet service can also be accessed from a mobile telephone. East USA Free Dial-ups

MetConnect (metconnect.com) provides free Internet access to most area codes in New York City. Subscribers to the free dial-up connection do not receive an email address through MetConnect. Residents of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New Hampshire can access the Internet for free through dialup.org. You are not required to download software, and you will not receive technical support for the free service.

SoCal Free Net (socalfree.net) and NoCharge (nocharge.com) offer free dialup Internet access to residents in the states of Washington and California. Most area codes are covered by the free service to help users avoid toll charges for long distance calls. Dialer software is provided to customers. Customers in California can connect to SoCalFree through a cell phone or a Bluetooth connection.
