While NetZero provides several varieties of high-speed internet, the company made its start by providing free dial-up service to anyone who needed it. The service had a built-in time limit -- you could only use it for so long every day -- and displayed ads at the bottom of the screen, but it was still handy if you needed to access the Internet. NetZero still provides this basic service, though you will have to download and install the proper software onto your computer before you can use it. NetZero dial-up Internet is fully compatible with Comcast Broadband.
Step 1
Launch your Web browser and navigate to the NetZero download page.
Step 2
Click the "Install NetZero Now" button and save the install file to the hard drive.
Step 3
Launch the installer file when it has finished downloading.
Step 4
Click through the menus until the automated install process starts. You can access the NetZero dial-up Internet by launching the NetZero application from the Start menu or the desktop shortcut.
