List of Low Cost DSL Services

High speed DSL Internet services are available in almost every area of the USA for a low monthly fee. Most services are less than $50 per month for basic high speed DSL service. Some DSL service providers offer a lower price per month for DSL when it is bundled with other services, such as telephone or cable television. Personal computers come standard with network interface cards so there is usually no computer upgrades required. If you already own a computer, the only equipment that you need to access the Internet via high speed DSL is a modem and a telephone line.

Quest

Qwest.com offers customers high speed DSL Internet service for only $14.95 per month when DSL is bundled with their home telephone service. DSL service alone is $29.99 per month. The DSL speed of 1.5 Mbps is sufficiently fast enough to surf the Internet, watch a video and use your email. PeoplePC high speed DSL Internet service starts at $14.95 per month. The DSL speed is 3 Mbps which is up to 50 times faster than regular dial-up Internet access. The company provides a free modem, and no activation fee is applied for new customers. Each PeoplePC account gets up to eight free email addresses and 100 megabytes of free online storage. Telephone technical support is available 24 hours per day, seven days each week.

Earthlink

EarthLink provides its customers with DSL service at 6.0 Mbps for $14.95 per month. Customers receive a free DSL modem, 24 hour telephone technical support and free virus and spyware protection. In addition, customers can access 20 hours of free dial-up service each month via EarthLink. The free dial-up service is useful when traveling or staying in hotels without Internet access.

Comcast

DSL Internet service is available to Comcast customers starting at $29.99 per month. Comcast DSL download speeds can be as fast as 15 Mbps. Comcast DSL customers can have up to seven email accounts with 10 gigabytes of storage for each account. Free computer security software and access to live sports broadcasts on the Internet is included in the package, and customers can save money by bundling services.
