Comcast offers XFINITY digital television plans.

XFINITY is an on-demand service provided by Comcast, as well as the brand for the company's Internet telecommunications services. XFINITY plans can be purchased for digital television, Internet and voice communication services. XFINITY plans includes enhancements to television, Internet and voice services provided by Comcast, such as a Wi-Fi feature for Internet users and online, on-demand television and movie content.

About XFINITY

Launched in February 2010, XFINITY refers to Comcast's high-speed Internet, voice communication and digital television services. According to Comcast, the services offer customers greater access to high-definition content and faster Internet speeds in comparison to competitors, and more customer control of services. Comcast costumers can purchase a stand-alone XFINITY plan or bundle two or more XFINITY services at reduced rates compared to individual services.

XFINITY

XFINITY TV plans include digital cable channels, a digital video recorder service and on-demand programming. The service also allows customers to view television programming online. Programming available to Comcast customers matches the cable subscription that has been purchased. For example, subscription to HBO is required to see HBO programs on XFINITY TV. The online XFINITY TV service can also be accessed by non-Comcast customers by registering with the XFINITY TV website. Content includes movies, television programs and special features.

XFINITY Internet

Internet users can subscribe to two Internet plans under the XFINITY banner, as of May 2011. The Performance plan features speeds of up to 15 megabytes per second and the Blast plan offers download speeds of up to 20 megabytes per second. Plans include free email, online data storage and a security suite. XFINITY Internet 2go is a mobile service that provides high-speed Internet using a wireless network. Service options include nationwide 4G and 3G or 3G coverage, or access within a specific metropolitan area. XFINITY Wi-Fi is also available XFINITY Internet subscribers and allows customers to connect up to three Wi-Fi-enabled devices to the Internet at public Wi-Fi hotspots.

XFINITY Voice

XFINITY Voice plans offer unlimited local calls and/or long-distance calls in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Customers can also subscribe to plans with monthly international calling minutes. Standard features include caller ID, call waiting and three-way calling. The XFINITY service also includes advanced online features, such as the ability to view voice mail online. Subscribers can view caller ID on a television or computer if they are also subscribed to a XFINITY television and/or Internet plan.
