Verizon and Comcast provide high speed Internet service plans with multiple features.

DSL Internet from Verizon and Comcast's Performance Internet plan both include several features. Verizon offers two DSL plans as well as fiber optic plans for those looking for even faster download speeds. Comcast's Performance plan provides high-speed Internet and its Blast! plan offers faster speeds. Both companies offer bundle plans to combine Internet with television and phone service.
Verizon DSL Features
With DSL from Verizon, Internet speeds will not slow down because of the use of others in your area. Verizon provides a wireless router with DSL service for no additional fee. Other features of DSL from Verizon include self-installation, 24-hour customer support service, an email address and personal web space for no additional fee. Verizon Internet customers also receive access to live sports games and events on ESPN3's website. Verizon Wi-Fi is also included for High Speed Internet Enhanced plans.
Comcast Performance Features
Comcast's Performance Internet plan offers features such as Constant Guard protection service and access to SmartZone Communications Center. Constant Guard service includes online protection services such as Norton Security Suite, Security Backup & Share and Identity Guard. These services defend and safeguard computers from viruses and other threats. SmartZone Communications Center includes up to seven email addresses and access to your voicemail from your PC.
Verizon DSL Plans
Verizon's High Speed DSL plan is the least expensive DSL plan from Verizon. It offers download speeds from 0.5 to 1 Mbps. This plan is best for casual use of the Internet, such as downloading photos and music, according to Verizon. The High Speed Internet Enhanced plan offers download speeds of 1.1 to 3, 3.1 to 7 or 7.1 to 15 Mbps. This plan is suitable for Internet games, people who work from home and homes with multiple Internet users, according to Verizon.
Comcast Plans
Comcast's Performance Internet plan offers download speeds up to 15 Mbps. This plan also uses PowerBoost technology, which gives an extra surge of power during heavy Internet activity. This plan is fitting for downloading music, online chatting and uploading photos, according to Comcast. There are also more than 3,500 live sports games available to watch from ESPN3's website at no additional charge to subscribers of this plan. Other Comcast plans are available for additional monthly charges; these plans have faster download speeds or bundle services such as television and home phone.
