Comcast Programs

XFinity TV, Comcast's cable service, provides cable service with a number of additional features. In addition to standard and expanded cable service, XFinity also offers a wide selection of On Demand movies and TV programs available to users whenever they want, and high definition features at an additional cost. The service also includes music channels in a variety of genres, parental controls, an on-screen program guide and online viewing.

The high-speed Internet option from Comcast, XFinity Internet features download speeds of up to 15 Mbps and premium packages available that boost download speeds up to 20 Mbps. The service also includes email accounts for customers, a virus protection package and access to games and data content on the company's website. XFinity Internet 2go, the company's mobile Internet program, offers nationwide mobile broadband access within Comcast's coverage map to customers through a mobile USB device and in mobile signal hotspots. Finally, Comcast's business programs offer Internet network access to small, medium and large companies.

XFinity Voice features unlimited local and long distance calling within the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The service also includes numerous calling features such as universal caller ID and three-way calling. As part of Comcast's effort to integrate communication services, Comcast customers can check their voicemail online and use caller ID features on their TVs or Computers with an Internet connection. Comcast also offers local phone service with a per-minute charge for long distance calls.

XFinity Triple Play is Comcast's bundle package for Internet, voice and cable service. The bundle package is available in a number of varieties, each including different sets of premium cable channel packages. While the bundle may not be appropriate for customers who do not use one of the three services extensively, it does consolidate communications bill paying and can be a good value for certain customers -- those that would contract all three services separately anyway. The Triple Play bundle does require that customers sign a long-term contract, yet many of the individual packages have similar contract terms.
